You house needs to stand out amongst the clutter. You should know why a buyer will pick your house from the range of options available for sale. If you have had your property on the market for months but not had a single showing or if you have had buyer previews but no purchase offer, then you need to ask yourself what the problem could be.
1) Price
Home buyers are smart. If they know a property is overpriced they will either not make an offer or you may be faced with an offer that is much lower than market value. If your agent suggested the highest price, check whether you have been subjected to a ‘bought listing’. If this is the case, your agent may be reluctant to admit that the house is priced too high. 2) Condition
Home buyers look for houses that don’t require too much in terms of structural alterations. They are looking for the perfect house that will not eat into further monetary reserves by requiring very major renovations and repairs.
